The image of Danity Kane is evolving, and part of the molding process for their image deals with the styling of hair, makeup, and overall fashion.
On the Making the Band 4 before Welcome to the Dollhouse is released, P. Diddy has a makeover done for each DK member. I believe it is a sort of reinvention. Not necessarily a whole drastic switch, but the evolving and progression into something bigger and better. Change is inevitable so the best thing to do is change for the better, and do it with great fashion sense and style. The idea behind the makeover is the branding process…to work towards the desired image.
Instead of big hair, long false eyelashes, and heavy makeup, Diddy favored a more natural makeup look. This look is in no way minimalist and perhaps not even done with ESCA makeup, but it does pull towards the modern and subtle natural makeup look.
What I love about the make up is the smoky eyes technique done by the makeup artist. Also, the soft-focus effect is somewhat from the photography, but the makeup style of blending foundation, bronzers, and other agents are of upmost help. This women of Danity Kane definitely have a great new look…fashion forward!
